Born in Drummondville, Québec, Kim Poirier is a film and television actor, an on air host, reporter, singer, dancer and just recently added a new hat to the gamete; she is currently producing a movie. With a very professional background and a passion for what she does - her work more then speaks for itself. She is currently the on air presenter of "HypaSpace" on the SPACE channel {www.spacecast.com} where she hosts a genre related show pertaining to all matters science fiction and fantasy, with toys and video games. You may also remember her as Monica from 2004's "Dawn of the Dead", or as Roxy from "Paradise Falls" in season 1,2 and 3 which is due to air in the fall, and Constance in both "Decoys" 1 and 2..

Her childhood was spent in Toronto where her mother got her into doing some modeling and tv commercials at the tender of 2. Always a little performer and artist at heart, it all came naturally to her and was something she found great joy and love in. As the years progressed, she continued to work having done 30 commercials and countless magazines, and then found new opportunities in film and television shows. Growing up, she danced competitevely, played ringuette, sports, track and field, both water and snow skied {downhill and cross country}, learned karate, gymnastic, enjoyed camping and outdoor adventures... to say the least, she was very active athletically and came home with lots of grass stains and bugs that she wanted to keep as pets despite her mother's opposition. Currently, she is an avid yoga enthusiast with a daily practice. She did some yoga teacher training in both Ashtanga and Kundalini, has studied Numerology, Healing, Nutrition, Drama Therapy, and 2004, she organized a workshop called 'The Yoga Theatre Lab', which combines the yogic technique with acting. In 2006 she was the Sadhana Commissioner of The Institute of Yoga Therapy, where she organized all the early morning yoga, activities and special events.

Kim enjoys traveling, the arts, live shows, movies, dancing, reading, writing, jogging, great food and wine, with an adventurous attitude and lust for life. Always the risk taker, she enjoys challenges and is consistently pushing herself towards reaching new potentials and opportunities for personal growth; a forever student of sorts with a hunger for knowledge, creativity and experience. She is an animal lover and supporter, has a humanitarian outlook and a spirit of service, with the desire to facilitate change and help those in need. She treasures her friendships and family, and is always up for a good laugh.
